The Appeal
The all-too-often overlooked Porsche 968 Sport represents the pinnacle of Porsche's front-engined, transaxle sports car development, offering near-perfect weight distribution and handling characteristics.
This 1994 example has been developed into a purposeful road-legal track car, combining the inherent balance of the 968 platform with comprehensive race-focused modifications. Having remained in the seller's family since its track conversion in 2012, this 968 Sport has been well-maintained throughout its time driving at prestigious UK circuits, including Brands Hatch, Goodwood, and Cadwell Park.
The vendor says:
"The best things about the car overall is how it drives, a number of magazine articles and videos have been done covering the 968 platform and how good they are to drive. Given this is mostly a track car, it thrives on track and despite having relatively modest power, has the ability to surprise a lot of cars that would be assumed to be quicker over a lap.

"It's one of those cars you can not drive for 6+ months, hop in the driver's seat and within one lap you are back up to speed and driving it at ten tenths. I am very reluctant to sell the car (and have been meaning to sell it for the past 2 years...) but it is unfortunately now time to let it go as I simply don't have the time to make use of it."
