The Appeal
How do you replace an icon?
That's the conundrum that faced those designers and engineers working in Solihull's development block 38 during the early 1990s. Cruelly overlooked in favour of its younger sibling for many years, it's all too easy to forget what a groundbreaking car the P38 Range Rover was. It delivered much-needed innovation without compromising the original Range Rover's essential form and formula. Today, enthusiasts are finding the P38 to represent the sweet spot in Range Rover evolution, combining the classic styling cues of the original with modern refinements.
This 2002 Vogue SE 4.6 V8 is one of the later examples, benefiting from the numerous improvements made throughout the model's production run. Finished in an attractive colour combination and featuring the desirable Piano Black Wood interior trim, this P38 presents in impressive condition for its age. It comes with a comprehensive service history and the reassurance of a recently overhauled air suspension system - often a weak point on these vehicles.
Having previously been owned by a dedicated Range Rover enthusiast and continually maintained to a high standard by its present keeper, this example has clearly received the level of attention these excellent 4x4s deserve.
The vendor says:
"The fact you see very few on the roads as they can be troublesome shows this one isn't one of them- this one has proven its money, and yes, it's had money spent on it by all means, it's been used sparingly. The car also has its own Social Media account and does get a lot of followers and looks out and about on the road."

"Having been looked after by the main dealers for a number of years it changed hands over the years heading up to the North West, then down to Manchester, across to Wales then back to the West Midlands finally ending up in Hertfordshire then onto me with all paperwork relating to owners & servicing being carefully filed away.
