History of this car
Alfa Romeo UK officially marketed their classy, last of the line S4 model Spiders through the UK Alfa Romeo dealer network and our car was supplied by Follett’s in December 1992. All official UK cars were fitted with the 2 litre motor and all were LHD.
The S4 Spider, in addition to Pininfarina’s successful integrated restyle over the controversial S3 model, also featured ZF power steering and Bosch electronic fuel injection and ignition, making it very easy to live with. Being a 2 litre model, it also benefits from a limited slip differential and fat 195/ 60HR15 tyres.
Our car has both soft and hard tops. The stylish hard top, complete with the rear hoop trim feature (a design DNA taken from Pininfarina’s hard top for the Fiat Dino spider) fits snugly and is not only very cool looking but makes the Spider an appealing year round classic.
This example must be the lowest mileage one available. It has been owned by one family from new, and spent most of its life at a holiday home in Italy when not kept at their central London home. The low warranted mileage of 20k klms or 13, 000 miles shows in the extraordinary unrestored condition of this example.
Body
The presentation is exceptional for one of these cars. The body is 100% corrosion free and is painted in Rosso Alfa, the delivery colour. Most of the paint is factory finish and the glass is perfect. The chassis has zero rust and again wears factory finishes throughout, with plated fasteners still bright and sharp.
Mechanicals
Sale preparation has included the fitment of a new exhaust and fresh oil, filters and plugs. The engine bay is quite superb with an as new presentation.

Interior
Pininfarina’s rework of the interior included leather seats with alcantara centres, deep pile carpeting and an appealing GTV6 style steering wheel.
On this car it’s all original and excellent, not two words normally used to describe the fragile cabins on these later cars, most of which are either tatty by now or have been retrimmed.
Boot
An excellent size with factory carpeting throughout in mint condition. Full size alloy spare is fitted and factory toolkit and jack are present.
Summary
If you wanted one of these new, this is probably your only chance to get one with this incredibly low mileage. Try finding another. Genuinely unrepeatable and highly recommended!
