With us here at RFH Classics we have this 1998 (S) Peugeot 106 GTi 3 Dr finished in Metallic Silver with Half Leather and Alcantara trim. This iconic little 1990’s hatch has only had 4 previous owners and was part of a new breed of hot hatch’s generated in the mid 90’s and are not a common sight on today’s road hence why when a beautiful example such as this becomes available, it is great to see. This 106 GTi has clearly been very well looked after by its former owners and great with the unique GTi body styling kit.
The interior is finished with Half Black Leather with the brushed Alcantara inserts, the seats are virtually unmarked and the tilt and slide sunroof works perfectly and makes the cabin feel light and spacious. The only addition to a standard car is a pair of rear speakers that have been fitted to the rear parcel shelf. The original Alloy Wheels are all sporting good tyres and in excellent condition.
Under the bonnet sits the 1, 587cc 16v petrol engine that from new produced 120 bhp making it a spritely hot hatch as it weighed less 1000kg. The engine starts on the button every time and runs exceptionally well with the power being delivered via the 5 speed manual gearbox. The service book that accompanies the car has 9 services stamped in the book including a new cam belt and water pump at 77. 933 miles. In addition there are a large number of old MOT test and the original Peugeot hand book pack.
