This 1997 Porsche 911 993 Targa is a beautifully presented example of the final generation of air-cooled 911s. Delivered new to the Sir Norman Foster + Partners, this UK-supplied ‘C16’ example is finished in Arctic Silver over a black leather interior and shows a remarkable 25, 734 miles from new.
The car is powered by the 285hp 3. 6-litre air-cooled ‘VarioRam’ engine and paired with the much desired six-speed manual transmission. As with all 993 Targas, the car features the panoramic retractable glass roof as well as the 17” split rim wheels.
The service book indicates the car may have led a very stylish life in its early years with the first service being carried out by the Porsche dealer in Cannes, France at 3, 897 miles. Once the car returned from the Côte d’Azure it appears to have lived a very relaxed life back in the UK covering consistent mileage until 2013 when the car appears to be stored before returning to the road in 2023. The car was purchased by its current owner in 2023 where the car was sent straight to marque specialists JZM Porsche who undertook a minor service with brake fluid change as well as replacing the alternator, all 4 tyres with Porsche N rated Michelin Pilot Sport and Pilot Sport 2 tyres as well as a few other miscellaneous items.
