An excellent example of the Prodrive-built P1 model, number 815 of around 1, 000 examples produced of which only 637 are reckoned to remain on UK roads today.
Designed as the ultimate every day usable Impreza road model, this example has covered 53, 000 miles from new and is in excellent order following a £30, 000 recent mechanical rebuild completed by specialists.
This P1 was supplied when new by UK Subaru dealer Town and Country as noted in the original book pack which remains with it. They continued to maintain the car for the first 14, 000 miles as noted in the original service book. Later it was looked after by Subaru specialist Stan Palmer as noted in book stamps and detailed in invoicing on file.
Slow Boy Racing were commissioned to carry out a mechanical rebuild in September 2022 which was completed in July 2024. Invoicing amounting to £30, 000 on file details the extensive nature of this work which included a full engine rebuild.
Today this P1 certainly lives up to its legend on the road, even by today’s standards it remains very quick, fluent and is far more composed on our broken roads than many modern performance cars. A very well sorted example that has clearly been well looked after throughout its life.
