The Appeal
Introduced in 1961, the Triumph TR4 paired the strong performance, open-air appeal and motorsport heritage of the TR3A with a wider, more modern body designed by famed designer Giovanni Michelotti. Upgrades included roll-down windows, a larger trunk and a curved dashboard ahead of the larger interior. Underneath the larger, 2.2-liter engine improved performance, an all-synchromesh gearbox made gear changes smoother, and rack-and-pinion steering enhanced steering feel and response.
This 1962 example is finished in a lovely shade of green, with bright chromework and fitted with disc wheels. The hood is of the earlier type, with the 'short bubble' bulge to clear the car's two carburetors.
Inside, the well-presented interior has been upgraded with modern seats and features a white enameled dashboard. The engine bay is also very clean. The car comes with extensive history, including photographs.
This fine example of the TR4 is ready to provide open- or closed-top driving enjoyment to a new owner right away.
