The Appeal
Few cars exhibit the ‘less is more’ design ethos better than the original Pagoda. Crisp, understated styling and big, comfortable cabins explain why these 60-year-old cars remain so popular with collectors and enthusiasts.
This RHD 230SL was extensively restored across the bodywork, engine and brakes in 2006 and refinished in white with a retrimmed burgundy leather interior. It is a really lovely example with the added appeal of that economical 2.3L motor and engaging manual gearbox.
The vendor acquired the car in 2017, the same year that it received a new mohair roof. It is said to be factory standard and to start and run easily. With its appealing condition and matching hard top, this is a very good example of the perennially appealing W113.
