Substantial history file including the original Jaguar service book from new
Full bare metal respray carried out in 2012
First registered keeper kept the car for 22 years
The Appeal
Thanks to its graceful lines, surprisingly sporty character and handsome interior, the Jaguar MK2 has become almost synonymous with the marque's golden age - and, indeed, mid-century Britain's sophisticated milieu. It's little wonder the car continues to appeal so much to enthusiasts.
This 1965 3.4-litre car comes with reassuring provenance. Its first registered keeper kept the car for 22 years and covered 75,000 miles, while the second owner acquired it in 1987 and used it to tour Europe, adding a further 27,000 miles. The original Jaguar service book records the first ten services from new, and a substantial history file accompanies the car, including MOTs, tax discs, and supporting invoices. The car was also deemed worthy of a feature in the August 2021 edition of Jaguar World magazine.
Cosmetically, the car received a full bare metal respray in blue in 2012, during which all brightwork and doors were removed and any necessary metalwork was addressed. Inside, the cabin has been retrimmed in grey leather with new carpets and fully restored woodwork. Over £25,000 has been spent on the car over the past four years, including a replacement power steering unit in 2025 and renewed braking and suspension components. The vendor reports that the car starts well, runs correctly, and is fun to drive.image.png1.67 MB

The oil pressure on tick over looked quite low from the video. Dose the engine burn much oil. And any smoke from exhaust. Looked clear on the video. Any surface rust ? I couldn't see from the video. Thanks

The bodywork is by my judgement i n excellent nick - no rust or bubbles.
I’m no expert - I bought the car because of the condition of the bodywork, chrome and gorgeous interior! All the woodwork has recently been reconditioned.
