- Very rare unmodified 1.7L Minx
- Only three registered keepers
- Glowing 2024 independent assessment
The Appeal
When Rootes wanted a new entry-level model for its Hunter range, it chose to rejuvenate a classic name: Minx. The ‘New Minx’ got the firm’s 1.5L OHV engine and a simpler specification. Today, any Hunter is an unusual find, but the Minx, available for only three years, is even rarer.
This 1968 Minx is a ‘De Luxe’ model that has had just three keepers from new. Finished in dark green metallic with a black vinyl interior, it is a remarkably well-preserved, highly original, unmodified car. You don’t just need to take our word for it - there is a very useful independent assessment and valuation included in the photos. This provides a glowing report, describing it as an ‘excellent, good and original condition car that is well maintained.’ We’re also told that it runs well.
With a little cosmetic valeting and polishing, this already well-kept car will look even better. It is a marvellous factory-standard survivor that would definitely stand out at any classic show.
