The Appeal
Boesch Motorboote AG has been handcrafting luxury mahogany motorboats in Switzerland since 1910, and is widely regarded as the Swiss equivalent of Riva, a name synonymous with discreet prestige on the lakes of central Europe. The 510 Ski Boat, with its V8 power and traditional plywood-over-frame construction, represents the marque's sporting character at its finest, purpose-built for towing water skiers.
This 1971 example has passed through just three owners from new and comes with a paper trail documenting all work carried out during its life. In 2007, it underwent a thorough restoration supervised by Peter Jacobsson of Skaftö, Sweden, encompassing structural repairs, a mechanical overhaul, and numerous upgrades over the course of some 2,500 man-hours. More recently, in 2024, the hull was refinished with 18 coats of Epifanes varnish and further restoration work was completed in Poland. A pre-season service covering the engine, fuel system and onboard installations was carried out in 2025. Sold with its own registered trailer, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a well-documented, professionally maintained classic from one of the most respected names in boatbuilding.20240825_192933 Jakub Polkowski.jpg2.29 MB
