The Appeal
The 1950s had seen Lancia become one of the greatest racing brands in the world - but it was immensely expensive, and the Lancia family was finding itself ever-tightening the purse strings. It wasn't until '65 that the marque returned to the sports circuit, with their incredibly handsome front-wheel drive Fulvia Coupe.
Beyond being arguably one of the best-looking cars of the era, these cars were nimble, fast and utterly perfect for the rally circuit. Even now, they're in hot demand for historic rally racing - and none more so than the High Fidelity 1600. These cars were the product of a relentless development program, creating a pure Italian thoroughbred that rapidly garnered trophy after trophy.
This 1970 example is, therefore, worthy of your attention. Having been cherished by its current owner since 2017, this handsome red Fulvia has been stored in a heated garage and used sparingly for shows and events. The vendor says that it is still in factory-standard spec and has reportedly been subject to diligent maintenance. Now, it's ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper - who we've no doubt it'll seduce in no time.
