The Appeal
Alfa’s Spider gave buyers a sophisticated, characterful alternative to more humdrum rivals. Beautiful and great to drive, these cars are practically the legal definition of ‘la dolce vita.’
This car is a Series 2 with the revised Kamm Tail styling introduced to appease contemporary buyers. It is a Veloce with the 130bhp 2L version of the firm’s superb ‘Nord’ twin cam and classically finished in Alfa Red. It sits on steels rather than the common alloys, which we think works well with the styling.
The vendor acquired the car in 2014 and tells us that it has always been garaged. It is a desirable RHD car and presents generally well in the photos. Recent work includes a new alternator and service with plugs, oil and filter.
The joy of the classic Spider is that it doesn’t just look good - it is seriously good to drive too. Here’s a chance to discover all that - or reengage with it.
