The Appeal
Bristol Cars emerged from the car division of the Bristol Aeroplane Company after the Second World War, bringing with it an engineering-led approach and a taste for hand-built, low-volume motor cars that stood deliberately apart from the mainstream.
Introduced in 1969, the Bristol 411 continued that tradition in assured fashion. Elegant, understated and notably exclusive, it remained in production until 1976, with only 287 examples reportedly built across all series. Combining British craftsmanship and discreet grand touring manners with the effortless performance of an American V8, the 411 was powered by a smooth and muscular Chrysler engine paired with an automatic transmission.
This Bristol 411 was previously treated to a bare-metal respray along with various cosmetic and mechanical improvements, and the interior would now benefit from further attention in places. A substantial history file documenting its life and maintenance over the years is provided, and it is also said to have covered very little mileage in recent times.
Presented in a handsome graphite finish, it offers a compelling opportunity to acquire one of the marque’s most distinctive grand tourers; a rare, quietly charismatic classic with long-legged performance, unusual engineering pedigree and considerable presence.image.png1.78 MB
