The Appeal
If your interests lie in the direction of a British sports car that you can get out and enjoy, then this 1973 TR6 PI should be right up your street.
Finished in white and with Minilite-style wheels, it is a factory overdrive model, which makes long distance, high speed trips far easier. Further improving the drivability are electric power steering and what the vendor describes as ‘vintage air conditioning.’ Comfortable MX5 seats with built in speakers are currently fitted, but the original seats are included.
Then there is the condition. Since buying the car in 2005 he has serviced it annually. Prior to sale it has been serviced again, plus a coolant flush and attention to the brakes. Other recent work included new high torque camshaft, roller rocker shaft and new valves for unleaded fuel. It is a sign of his approach that it carries a voluntary MOT valid to October 2026 with no advisories.
This is a really tidy, much-historied TR6 that has clearly been looked after.
The vendor says:
“This is a true sports car. You can feel the road curves and handles great on country roads. On warm days the AC feels great even with the top down. This is not meant to be a show car. It’s meant to be driven.”
