Highlights
- Original UK-registered example from new, not an import
- Restored with over £11,000 spent on parts across two ownerships
- Just four former registered keepers
- In one ownership for nearly 40 years prior to the current keeper
- History file including tax discs from 1986, MOTs from 1988, and dozens of parts receipts
The Appeal
The Kawasaki Z1 is widely regarded as one of the most important motorcycles ever produced. Its 903cc DOHC inline-four redefined what a production superbike could be when it arrived in 1972, and the Z1A, the 1974 model year, remains hugely sought after by collectors and riders alike.
This example is a genuine UK-registered machine from new and has passed through just four former registered keepers. The previous owner acquired it in 1985 and rode it as a daily machine before spending years sourcing parts and carrying out a restoration. The current owner has built on that foundation with significant mechanical investment, including a top-end rebuild. A weighty history file accompanies the machine, and the vendor recommends viewing and test riding the bike in person.
