The Appeal
The MGB Roadster remains one of the most recognisable and beloved British sports cars of its era, offering accessible open-top motoring with genuine character. Later rubber-bumper cars like this 1975 example have become increasingly popular candidates for chrome bumper conversions in order to restore the clean, classic lines for which the model is best known, and this car has received just such a conversion. Now wearing British Racing Green, it appears to have undergone a restoration at some point, though the precise timeline is unclear.
Purchased from a classic trade dealer in April 2025 and stored under cover since, this MGB Roadster comes to market as an honest, usable open-top with scope for further improvement at the new owner's discretion.DSC00820.jpg251.75 KB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
