The Appeal

The Escort was a huge sales success. Powered by rallying wins, these light, robust cars were available in a various trim, engine and body styles including the capacious estate you see here.

As a Pinto-engined 1.3L car with ‘L’ trim, it a proper workhorse. As such we suspect it will appeal to enthusiasts who like usable, everyday classics. It is a project car but appears largely complete. The brown vinyl interior is particularly well kept and includes some appealing original features.

Buyers should be realistic about the work required here. For the right person, this offers an interesting way to acquire a now very rare Mk2 Escort estate.
