The Appeal
The E28 is where BMW’s dominance of the executive saloon car park began. Blending crisp, handsome lines and impeccable German quality with the firm’s ‘ultimate driving machine’ ethos delivered a saloon that was as much status symbol as four door sports car.
None more so than this car, the 535i. Sharing its straight six 3.4L motor with the M535i, this was the car for the 80s executive in a hurry. Before arriving here in 2025, 5his car spent its entire life in the cossetting environs of Japan where salt-free roads and high standards of maintenance rule.
Finished in Alpinweiss white with full M Sport body kit, it is a well kept car. That extends to the smart blue interior, with its array of M Sport features. The car has the added advantage of a long MOT that runs to February 2026 with no advisories.
For enthusiasts of sporting saloons, this 535i is a proper treat.
