In the 1980s and ’90s, Japanese automakers cemented their reputation for quality. In addition, Honda added sportiness and a reputation for introducing new technologies on its “everyday” cars. So, as well as growing in size, the fourth-generation Honda Accord was much more sophisticated than its predecessor, introducing advanced features such as all-around double wishbone suspension and four-wheel steering.
 
This 1990 dark metallic gray model is an extremely well-presented, low-mileage example that the seller states benefits from a recent repaint, new alternator and transmission service. The car is powered by the all-aluminum 2.2-liter 16-valve engine, matched to a smooth-shifting automatic transmission that is completely in keeping with the car’s laid-back character. It is also equipped with Honda’s four-wheel steering system, making the car more maneuverable at low speeds and more stable at higher speeds.

Outside, the metallic gray paint is free of obvious blemishes, and the car wears its original 15-inch alloy wheels and rear spoiler. The seller states that the headlights have been fitted with HID (Xenon) bulbs.
 
Inside, the leather interior presents very well, with light patina in keeping with its age. The car is fitted with air conditioning and an electric sunroof.
 
This is a fine example of a model from what many consider to be an era of peak Honda engineering prowess, which is increasingly hard to find.
