The Appeal

Few grand tourers of the 1990s are as visually arresting as the BMW E31 850i. Its pillarless coupé silhouette, pop-up headlights and 5.0-litre V12 embodied the pinnacle of BMW's engineering ambition, and the model has steadily gained recognition among collectors who appreciate its blend of performance, refinement and understated presence.

This 1992 example spent its life in Spain from new until early 2022, when it was imported to the Netherlands, inspected by the RDW and placed on Dutch registration. Since arrival, it has been the subject of considerable specialist attention, with the engine management, ignition and fuel systems all addressed by recognised E31 specialists. Inside, the interior has been restored with a new headliner, seat leather repairs, a pixel repair to the Multi Information Display and a professionally refurbished original radio.
