The Appeal
For the final three years of the XJS, buyers were in for a treat. Alongside quality improvements, galvanised bodies and refreshed aesthetics and interiors, there was the option of a 6L 308bhp version of the firm’s smooth V12. It was a discerning choice and just 1,000 of these cars are believed to have been sold.
To that compelling V12 specification, this 6L adds a classic British Racing Green and beige leather colour combination. It is a low-mileage car that has clearly been treated well by its handful of keepers. The current one tells us that it runs very well and is only used in dry weather.
A service was carried out at a Jaguar dealership in Montreal in 2017 at approximately 50,000 km, addressing a range of items. The current owner has continued this attentive approach with a thorough mechanical refresh, the details of which are listed below. Oil changes have been carried out annually or every 5,000 km, we understand. The vendor states that oil pressure is excellent and the engine runs at a consistently stable temperature. Kept in a heated garage and away from winter conditions and rain, this XJS Convertible presents an appealing opportunity to acquire a well-maintained example of Jaguar's grand touring icon.
