The Appeal
The MG RV8 was a natural continuation of the much-loved MGB, and while it received warm reviews worldwide, it certainly got attention in Japan. These retro-styled roadsters were a smash hit in a country that, at the time, was obsessed with Cool Britannia. Of the 1,983 built, 1,579 ended up going East.
Many of these Japanese cars have been returning to their homeland since, and are being eagerly welcomed by enthusiasts. Japanese roads aren't gritted, and the generally temperate weather, fastidious culture of upkeep et al have led to these being the best possible cars to get hold of.
This 1994 example perfectly suits that image. Imported back to the UK in 2003, it's covered only 5,500 miles since, and is accompanied by an impressive 15-year history file. No doubt about it, this car has been cherished, and is ready and waiting for its lucky new keeper. image.png4.54 MB
