The Phase 1 Peugeot 106 Rallye added a new, sportier edge to the much-loved 106 hot hatch. Stripped of sound deadening and fitted with a free-revving 1,300cc engine, it made for an even more raw, delightfully unspoilt experience on the road that continues to attract fawning attention some thirty years later.
This 1994 example, finished in the model's characteristic red, has received considerable care during its current three-year ownership, with structural restoration and mechanical renewal carried out as outlined in The Detail section below. It's highly original throughout, with a working patina that captures a much-loved 90s classic.
