The Appeal
In many respects, the DB7 is the last Aston Martin to emerge from the brand’s independent era, even though it was developed while Aston was under Ford ownership.
The new ‘Baby Aston’ evolved from the cancelled Jaguar F-Type sports car and was based on a heavily modified Jaguar XJ-S platform, with styling from Keith Helfet, who penned the Jaguar XJ220, and Ian Callum, who went on to be Jaguar’s global head of design – so a pretty good pedigree for an astonishingly pretty car.
It became the fastest-selling Aston Martin ever and for a very good reason.
This one is a very special car indeed, a collector-quality car in fabulous overall condition, impecabbly maintained with full Aston Martin Main Dealer or Approved Specialist service history and the same owner since 2005, who has cherished and preserved the car using it only for high days and holidays.
It a truly lovely, impeccably maintained example with the added advantage of being a genesis car – one of the very first of the breed with a traceable build record marking it out as from the very early days of DB7 production. It’s an absolute stunner, always garaged and presented in near-flawless condition.

The Aston presents beautifully in Antrim Blue – an unusual and desirable colour for a DB7 - with all of its original paintwork and trim. It’s a fabolous-looking car in truly wonderful condition, with no evidence of corrosion, an exceptional paint finish and no dents or damage to speak of – just a couple of very small marks.
The ‘Turbine’ alloy wheels are in excellent order and have good rubber – a matching set of Bridgestones – while the car also comes with a complete set of spare alloys.
The electrically operated mohair hood is excellent and works as it should, while it is also supplied with a matching tonneau cover.
The cabin is truly gorgeous, offering a captivating mix of cream leather with blue piping and a superb dash with walnut veneered details and thick carpets. The overall condition is excellent, as you’d expect given its mileage and ownership history.
The seats are beautifully presented with just the slightest hint of wear to the driver’s side bolster.
