The Appeal

The Kawasaki ZXR400 was one of the most exciting 400cc sportbikes of its era. The 90s insisted upon high-revving, race-bred bikes, and the ZXR fed exactly that, with styling that closely mirrored its larger ZXR siblings. Coveted for its lightweight agility, the ZXR400 has become increasingly sought after - a high-octane, thrilling, yet increasingly nostalgic machine.

This 1999 example wears the iconic Kawasaki colour scheme of the era and retains its distinctive 'hoover' ram-air intake tubes. The vendor states it presents well for its age, with the original fuel tank said to be in very good order and the side fairings looking smart for their years. The nose cone fairing and front mudguard have been recently replaced by the current owner - which we're told was no small job to source.

A paint repair on the rear left side, carried out to address scuffing by a previous owner, is described as the only notable blemish. Mechanically, the bike is said to start on the first try with choke and ride smoothly through the gears.
