The Appeal

Lexus’ SC430 arrived at a time when the firm was cementing its reputation as the Japanese Mercedes-Benz. At the time, its near-forensic approach to quality and reliability arguably out-gunned the German firm. Badged as a Toyota Soarer in Japan, these distinctively styled cars offered a cossetting, comfortable and serene alternative to the R129 and 6-Series.

This JDM Soarer spent its life on Japan’s salt-free roads before arriving in the UK in 2019. It has remained with the current keeper ever since. Finished in attractive silver with a luxurious tan and walnut cabin, it is a well-kept and clearly cherished car. We’re told that it has been carefully stored in a dehumidified garage each winter and Lanoguard treated to preserve the structure.

With its MOT to November, clever folding roof, sumptuous cabin and near-silent 288bhp V8, this is a car for munching up the miles as you relax and enjoy the sunshine.
