The Appeal
The 2002 Camaro SS 35th Anniversary Edition marked a poignant moment in Chevrolet history, signalling the end of the F-body era with a special commemorative package. At the time, nobody knew if the Camaro would ever return, so it was important the 35-year history of Chevrolet's iconic pony car was given the due reverence it deserved. And it's fair to say that the car they came up with did the Camaro justice.
Available only on (WU8) Super Sport (SS) models, the limited number built would represent the very best of the final Camaros, made more exclusive still be unique colours, badging and trim. Production was limited, and only 943 automatic T-Top coupes like this were produced. With just over 7,000 miles under its belt, this ultra-low mileage, remarkably original car is in superb order.
The vendor tells us:
"I have owned this car for two years. I bought it from the first UK owner who imported it from the USA when it was a few years old.
"I replaced all four tyres with new, because it had the original factory tyres. Actually, they were in excellent condition but, still were 21 years old. These tyres have done maybe 600 miles. Total mileage is a little over 7,000.
"The car has been professionally valeted inside and out. The leather is soft and supple to the touch and shows zero wear. It has had a full service and including new leads and plugs. It needs nothing. It is just like a new car; everything works, the air conditioning blows cold, and the car drives perfectly."
