The Appeal
For Jaguar enthusiasts, the V8-powered X308 is the last of the traditionally styled and engineered XJs. The firm would give the idea one last throw of the dice with the X350, but the earlier car is considerably less complicated. It’s a car that offers a low-slung profile and a decidedly more louche style, and that is certainly very Jaguar.
The 3.2L car puts 240bhp through the rear wheels and therefore offers a decent, real-world balance between economy and power. This car’s ‘SE’ trim adds extra electrical features and improved cabin trim. It has been in the same family since 2006 when it was acquired from its original keeper. Since then, we’re told it has been maintained and serviced annually. Invoices indicate that in recent years this has been undertaken by Jaguar specialist Winfield Fearns. The last service was in March 2026, since when the car has covered less than 1,000 miles. Other notable work includes welding to the sills and floor pans. The current MOT supports this, as it shows no structural advisories.
The vendor says the car runs and drives well without fault. There are some cosmetic points to note in the photos, but with regular servicing and recent structural work, this car is ready for a new keeper to cherish as much as the current one.
The vendor says:
“It’s an absolute dream to drive, particularly on long journeys on the motorway. It belonged to my late husband and I will be very sorry to see it go, and would really love it to go to someone who loves and appreciates it as much as he did.”
