The Appeal
The Ferrari 360 Modena is a uniquely compelling example of Maranello magic. Its naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-plane crank V8, aluminium spaceframe chassis and relatively compact dimensions delivered a driving experience that was visceral, communicative and rewarding; For many enthusiasts, it represents the sweet spot between the analogue character of earlier Ferraris and the usability of a modern GT - a car you can genuinely drive and enjoy on a regular basis.
This 2003 example in Rosso Corsa has been in the current keeper's hands since June 2019 and has been maintained for regular use rather than kept as a static showpiece. It comes with a history file charting specialist care from the likes of Maranello, Lancaster, Meridien and AV Engineering, with cambelt services recorded at regular intervals. A considerable amount of age-related mechanical work has already been attended to in recent years, as detailed below.
The vendor describes this as a very presentable, honest example rather than an over-restored car. It wears its 60,163 miles with dignity, with only a few stone chips and minor marks telling the story of a Ferrari that has been used as intended. The interior remains in good order, and the car is fitted with Challenge Grilles and Factory Shields. It's a handsome car, with a fresh MOT, and we think it's bound to attract attention at auction. image.png1.33 MB
