The Appeal
It's the early 2000s. Ferrari are winning just about everything conceivable on the Formula 1 circuit, seemingly season after season. A new production model to celebrate this success on the track was only inevitable.
Taking the engineering prowess found on the track with some classic Italian styling and flair, the F430 was introduced and a legend was born. Coined as “the baby Enzo” by Evo magazine upon launch, the F430 was raw, stylish and incredibly advanced whilst capturing that kindred spirit of the legendary Enzo; certainly no mean feat, and arguably the reason why the F430 is still seen as one of the all-time greats from the Ferrari lineup.
This 2006 F430 is believed to be one of just 36 RHD manual spiders and one of just 12 in the UK. It is a very rare car indeed and an undoubtedly great example of the coveted model. Well presented and accompanied by a wealth of history, it is certainly a great introduction to the world of F430 ownership.
Exotic, beautiful and, of course, fast. The Ferrari F430 does all the things that make a Ferrari so special while also offering genuine usability and much-improved reliability over its predecessors. For those seeking a Ferrari they can use comfortably, look no further.

The F430 hails from an era of great advancement for the marque, both in terms of engineering and design. The F430, therefore, boasts a more modern, advanced exterior design than its other mid-engined predecessors, demonstrating great leaps forward in aerodynamics, learnt from the brand’s success on the circuit.
Red. Possibly the only suitable colour to be specced on a Ferrari. Certainly ask any Ferrari collector and they’ll attest to that statement. The shade of red that coats the elegant lines of this particular car is a slightly rarer Scuderia Red, not to be confused with the more common Rosso Corsa. The paintwork here presents smartly and has clearly borne the test of time very well, still boasting an exquisite shine throughout. A real testament to the quality and care the car has received throughout its lifetime.
A big selling point of this particular F430 manual example comes in the form of the roof. With this being a rare Spider model, we find a black fabric electrically operated convertible top, which has been replaced in the more recent lifetime of the car. The roof itself is of a wonderful quality, with just a minor blemish to be seen towards the rear of the panel, as highlighted in the accompanying photographic package.
The car has sat in professional storage for over 6 months and the soft top recently received mechanical attention. Owner reports it is now functioning as per normal however requires regular usage to maintain softness.
At ground level, we find four excellent Ferrari alloy wheels, all in great shape, with just some minor markings.
The F430's cabin is an absolute masterclass in automotive interior design. Rich black leather adorns the majority of the interior space, complemented by beautiful metal-finish trim pieces and contrasting white stitching. The cockpit of this Ferrari is really a wonderful place to be, and much of that is due to the quality of the upholstery and furnishings. The electric convertible top retracts, making the experience even more pleasant.
Two impeccable sculpted sports seats take precedence in the cabin. They boast great-quality leather upholstery paired with brilliant white stitching. Embossed with the legendary prancing horse logo, these are of a wonderful standard and look excellent nestled behind the doors of the F430. They also boast good-quality bolsters and cushioning and exhibit very little wear and age-related marking.
Swathes of quality leather drape across the excellent dashboard and centre panel, which are distinctly lacking in blemishing and sun damage. The dash is in great shape and holds a smart collection of metal-finish trim, switchgear, and the Alpine head unit, which folds away and opens out into a screen upon startup. All of this is reported to function correctly and present well. Looking down, one is reminded of the rarity of what they are in thanks to the iconic gated manual gear shift setup.
Opening the front storage section reveals a clean and simple carpeted boot area. Inside are a selection of tools and Ferrari accessories, as well as a Ferrari trickle charger, should the new owner only wish to use the car sporadically but want a consistent battery charge.
The Mechanics
Glorious mid-mounted V8 engine
Well maintained to an incredibly high standard
Rare manual transmission
To highlight what the engineering team in Maranello could really do, an all-new 4.3-litre V8 engine was developed to be situated in the centre of the F430. Often hailed as one of the finest V8s of all time, this booming eight-cylinder sounds extraordinary and has the performance credentials to back it up.
Having been subject to regular and rigorous maintenance at the hands of both Ferrari dealers and independent Ferrari specialists, the low mileage unit in this particular example is of a great standard and presents in good clean order, and further benefits from the recent fitment of new tyres.
On the road, the F430 provides an exhilarating driving experience, and much of that is due to the transmission. Many consider a Ferrari gated manual one of the finest transmissions ever fitted to a car, and for good reason. Not only does the metal-finish gated pattern provide wonderful aesthetics in the cabin, but the crisp manual shifting provides a level of driver engagement one simply can't get with a paddle shift or automatic gearbox.
'G9 GSB 'is a beautifully presented example of the model. With a vast number of services on the roster and, of course, that incredibly rare manual transmission, it will make a welcome addition to any collection or to the fleet of a true driving enthusiast.
