The Appeal
Japanese carmakers are evidently fans of long, complex names; but all you need to know is that the Subaru Impreza STI Spec C Type RA-R sits at the very top of the Impreza hierarchy. With only 300 examples produced, the RA-R took the already focused Spec C platform and sharpened it further with a higher-output engine, uprated Brembo brakes, and a firm emphasis on lightweight performance. This example is one of just 50 finished in Sonic Yellow, making it among the rarest variants of an already scarce model.
Having covered 52,020 km under the care of a single registered keeper in Japan, this RA-R is accompanied by a Subaru Japan main dealer service history with stamped books and invoices. It was factory-optioned with the Recaro driver's bucket seat: a seldom-seen addition that underlines the car's competition-oriented character. A number of modifications have been made, including a Fujitsubo titanium exhaust, TEIN EDFC adjustable suspension, HKS intake, Eifel carbon intake duct, and a carbon rear wing, with everything else reported to remain as it left the factory.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very special car. image.png1.35 MB
