The Appeal
Choosing to take on Ferrari must be amongst the most demanding of motoring challenges. McLaren had achieved it on the track, with the MP4 12C, the firm’s first series production supercar, they decided to do the same on the road.
The new car was pitched directly at Ferrari’s superlative 458. Where the McLaren excels is in its remarkable ease of use. Unlike the Ferrari, which can take time to master, the MP4 12C is instantly driveable, and according to anyone who ever has - when you do drive it, the experience is mesmerising.
Just 3,500 MP4 12Cs were built, and this 2012 example is believed to be the only one finished in the eye-catching shade of Mantis Green. It is in really good condition, the low mileage of under 22,000 miles contributing to the sense of near showroom-level preserve. Aside from the paint, the car was factory fitted with upgraded lightweight bucket seats, carbon pack and premium Meridien sound. It also carries SVA Lambar certification
The vendor acquired the car in 2021 and tells us that it carries full McLaren service history. The MOT runs to April 2026 with no advisories and the MOT history supports the low mileage.
This is an extremely good, stand-out example of one of the greatest supercars ever built.

The MP4 12C is all about supercar drama, and thanks to this car’s special order Mantis Green paintwork, few examples can be as visually dramatic as this one. It looks fantastic, the stuff of supercar dreams and wall posters.
This well-specified car features upgraded bucket seats, carbon trim and premium sound. Inside and out, you would barely know it is 14 years old, such is the level of preservation. Even high traffic areas such as the driver’s bolster and footwell appear a little aged.

With the sort of performance statistics that might generate shivers in drivers of family SUVs, you might expect the MP4 12C to be a forbidding prospect from behind the wheel. As reviewers queued up to attest, that isn’t so. Key to the car’s appeal is its sheer usability.
McLaren channelled its deep F1 learning into its first series supercar. The result is a technologically advanced car that naturally requires careful use and maintenance. This car has received exactly that. The condition, verified by the photos, confirms the former while the advised full McLaren service history supports the latter. The MOT provides added reassurance - it runs to April 2026 with no advisories
