The Appeal
The second-generation E70 X5 is highly rated by reviewers for its handling, driver focus and comfort. The sweet spot of an extensive range is widely regarded to be this car, the 30d with the 3L straight six 250bhp turbodiesel engine. It is a later facelift car with the improved 8spd automatic gearbox.
The car’s Sparkling Bronze finish is a tasteful alternative to the X5’s more common greys and blacks and is in very good order for its age. So to is the luxury ‘SE’ specification Oyster leather interior with its Bamboo grain veneers. Everything is pleasingly factory standard, including the 18in five spoke alloys that help ensure a comfortable ride.
The vendor acquired the car in 2019 and is only the third keeper. We’re told that the service history has 10 stamps, all by main dealers and marque specialists. The last service was in September 2025 with few miles covered since. The MOT runs to October 2026 with no advisories.
This is a really tidy, practical and economical example of the well-regarded E70.
The vendor says:
“Excellent example of BMW E70 X5 with bundles of power and torque delivered from its 6 cylinder 3.0 litre diesel engine. Superb driving machine.”
