The Appeal
Few brands have made quite as many missteps as Alfa Romeo, but perhaps those stumbles only make the highs even higher. And, in recent years, few highs have been quite as good and quite as utterly exhilarating as the 4C. Built for no obvious commercial reason other than Alfa needed a halo car to help crack America, it is one of the best sports cars to emerge from Italy in the last 15 years.
The car’s appeal comes from its innovative carbon fibre monocoque and SMC composite panels, which keep weight down to 1,090kg. Then there’s the 1.75L ‘TBi’ engine, whose clever ‘scavenging’ technology virtually eliminates turbo lag and delivers supercar excitement yet remains light and punchy. All of which is before we mention Alessandro Maccolini’s eye-catching styling.
Only a few hundred RHD Coupes were built, of which just a couple of hundred were allocated to the UK. This one has covered just 16,000 miles in its 11 years and was previously owned twice, by the director of HWM Alfa Romeo. Classically finished in Alfa Red with a black leather and suede interior, it looks barely used. The service history, fully detailed below and in photos, shows regular maintenance with the all-important cambelt and water pump replaced in 2025. The car was last serviced in 2026 and carries an advisory-free MOT to January 2027.
As modern classics go, they really don’t get much better than the 4C. This is a fine example of a car that corners as if on rails and punches down straights.
The vendor says:
“Very clean condition, owned by the director of HWM Alfa Romeo twice over. Coilovers really add an extra dynamic to the car. The car switches through its gears brilliantly, puts a huge smile on your face! Everything is in brilliant condition, and this vehicle gets immense attention at every car show we've brought it to. It's been a real pleasure to drive it, and we truly believe it'll be a true future classic. NO spend to be done on the vehicle; everything is ready to go and enjoy.”
