The car has been in the same ownership since 2003, which is always a loveable sign with a classic of this nature. It has clearly been cherished over the years, while remaining the sort of car you can actually use and enjoy. And that is exactly what the previous owner did having it at his holiday home in the South of France.
According to the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this E-Type was manufactured on 18 January 1972 and dispatched on 11 February 1972 through Henlys Limited in London. It was originally supplied as an open two-seater, right-hand drive, manual-transmission car, finished in White with a Red interior.
Today, the car is finished in a beautiful deep blue colour called Westminster Blue, which suits the long and elegant lines of the Series 3 Roadster particularly well. It has also been converted from right-hand drive to left-hand drive by Jaguar a specialist in early 2025.
The car is currently fitted with a Jaguar 5. 3-litre V12 fuel-injected engine from the XJ family, carrying a 7P engine number. This means the car should not be seen as a matching-numbers concours example, but rather as something much more straightforward and appealing in its own way: a proper driver’s E-Type. The kind of car you buy because you want to drive it, hear it, feel it and enjoy it.
