The Appeal
The ‘Series 1.5’ is the sort of E-Type seemingly purpose-built for enthusiasts who like the early style but want to get out and enjoy their cars. These cars kept the original style but added an array of safety and comfort features that make them better suited to modern motoring.
This smart, dark blue late-1967 car has had an interesting life. It was built as a LHD coupe and exported to the USA, where it remained until it was repatriated in 1989. In the Noughties, it joined a large private collection during which time it was extensively restored.
Professionally rebuilt as a roadster with RHD layout, it remains a very well presented car with a smart retrimmed tan interior. It’s the sort of car that suits a buyer who wants to combine shows with getting out and using their car.
