The Appeal
Chiselled Giugiaro styling, peppy Lampredi power and that evocative Lancia badge all make the original Delta an appealing package for classic buyers. They’re rare too, particularly the later 108bhp GT ie displayed here.
The GT ie got a fuel injected version of the 1.6L twin cam when the Delta received a facelift in 1986. This car is a really good example, finished in burgundy and with an uprated HF Turbo interior. We’re told that it has been in the same family since 1989, amassing just two keepers.
The car received considerable refurbishment with in 2005, including braking system, shock absorbers, water and heating hoses, with approximately 20,000 km covered since. In 2024 it received a new head gasket and fuel pump. We’re told that it remains a matching numbers car.
As entertaining as it is usable, this first generation Delta survivor looks appealing.
