The Appeal

In the pre-war years Humber stood for reliability, dependability and thorough engineering. These were expensive cars for the upper reaches of society who valued the 12/25’s refinement and serenity. Most sold were Tourers, but for those with very deep pockets there was the Limousine, aimed at those for whom the chauffeur did the work.

This 1926 Limousine is believed to be the sole survivor of the handful built with this body style. As you can see in the photos, it is a magnificent vintage vehicle, finished in stand-out yellow with black wings and wheels. Inside, as was typical at the time, it has blue leather for the driver and plush grey cloth for the passengers.

The vendor acquired it around 21 years ago and has clearly enjoyed it, reporting a recent trip to France and back without issue. It is said to be highly original and run well, with recent attention to the transmission brakes. The sale includes a history compiled by the Humber register.
