Overview
Long, low and ingeniously engineered, the Citroën Traction Avant has few rivals among classic cars. The 11B stands out with a wheelbase stretched by 180 mm, a gain in length that mainly benefits rear passengers, providing more space and comfort.
This example is reported to be largely faithful to its original specification. It wears an elegant black livery paired with a grey cloth interior. The car presents in a clean condition and is usable day to day, following an extensive programme of mechanical work carried out in 2025. This included the braking system, carburettor, engine gaskets, front suspension and steering components, radiator hoses, driveshaft seals and the entire electrical system, including a new battery.
The seller considers the mechanical condition to be close to new. The vehicle holds a French MOT valid until April 2028.
The seller's story
“My decision to buy this car was inspired by historic events that profoundly moved me, notably the liberation of France by the FFI, as well as the story of André Citroën, who did not live long enough to see the Traction enter production.
This car marked my youth. Its beautiful lines and comfortable interior are a real pleasure. It leaves no one indifferent. It is a joy to see passers-by turn round and wave, then chat with those who delve into their memories to share family stories linked to the Traction. Everyone I meet has a family member who once owned one.
I am selling this Traction because I have acquired a second one from a member of my family, which holds greater sentimental value for me. This car is fitted with left-hand drive.”
