The Appeal
Before Lamborghini became synonymous with exotic supercars, Ferruccio Lamborghini built his reputation, and his fortune, manufacturing agricultural machinery. The 3402C crawler tractor, produced in tiny numbers during 1960, represents a fascinating chapter in the marque's history and is among the rarest pieces of Lamborghini heritage in existence.
This example was purchased directly from its original owner in Italy. The vendor believes it to be the most original of only two examples currently known on the market, and possibly the sole surviving example in highly original, functional condition. Rather than subjecting it to a full restoration, the current owner has taken a preservation-first approach, with the tractor sympathetically recommissioned. The vendor states that the original paintwork, body panels, instruments, and matching-number mechanical components have all been retained, and that nothing has been repainted or welded. It is currently stored in Italy.
