The Appeal
The SC33-generation CBR900RR FireBlade was the final evolution of Honda's carburetted superbike lineage. Lightweight and effective, the SC33 is gaining recognition as one of the more collectible modern classic motorcycles of its era, and tidy examples are becoming harder to find.
This 1999 example wears its original factory blue, white and gold HRC-inspired livery, often regarded as the most sought-after colour scheme offered on the SC33. Exported to Spain in 2002 for use at a private villa, the machine spent the majority of its life in a dry Mediterranean climate, free from the corrosive effects of salted British roads. It is believed to have returned to the UK around 2018, with supporting export paperwork reportedly forming part of the history file.
It has reportedly benefited from recent mechanical preparation, including a major service including valve clearance checks, new fork stanchions and seals, new brake pads front and rear, and a DID gold-link drive chain. The vendor describes the bodywork as presenting well, with the paintwork retaining a deep gloss finish following a cosmetic detail. With a clear HPI check and a reportedly extensive documentation file, this FireBlade is ready to be ridden and enjoyed.
