Description
This MGA was stored in a barn in New Hampshire from 1985 and is a highly original, untouched project requiring a full nut-and-bolt restoration.
The chassis shows typical MGA rust issues but is repairable using readily available aftermarket repair sections. The body is in relatively good condition for an East Coast car, though extensive metalwork is required, including new sills and repairs to all panels. With only one older respray in its original colour and much of the paint flaking off, the car is extremely transparent and easy to assess.
Mechanically, the car requires a complete rebuild. The engine is a later 1600 block, seized from long-term storage. Oil has already been introduced to the cylinders to assist the next owner. Standard 4-speed gearbox.
The interior is original barn-find condition and will need full restoration. Hood and side screens are included. Ignition key is missing. Odometer reads 47, 255 miles. The commission plate is heavily oxidised and detached but remains readable and corresponds correctly.
Supplied with a New Hampshire registration certificate and Dutch customs documentation. EU import duties have been paid. Sold with commercial invoice.
