Now thats got the main bits out the way here's the bits you really wanted to know about.
I own a garage that specialises in first generation minis and this has been one of my bucket list dream cars, although it was absolutely stunning when I bought it boasting full service history and previous enthusiast owners being a garage owner and general petrol head i have taken it to the next level as I know one day it would have to go and I wanted the next owner to have a special elise that really is ready to enjoy straight away.
There is an amazing amount of paperwork with the car right back to the original bill of sale from Bell & Colvill with most of the work being carried out there throughout its life, seriously its really been looked after this one, anything its needed has been done with good quality workmanship and parts.
In my ownership i have fitted freshly refurbished 111R alloys in satin black with rain sport tyres, replaced the auxiliary belt, had a full alignment set up, replaced the handbrake cables, carried out oil, filter and gearbox oil changes and also carried out a suspension refresh along with a front end tidy with sand blasted arms, new ball joints and wheel bearings.
It has really been a pleasure to own not only is it up there with the most fun car ever produced but with the 1. 8 toyota engine its also super reliable, cheap to insure and super economical being so light weight.
It comes with the factory hard top along with all the fixings and also a black original soft top, i have a storage bag and trolly for the hard top that you are welcome to have too.
The body work is in great condition but does have the usual side skirt stone chips towards the back and scuff on the front lower lip but not hidden by aftermarket splitters, factory option SC rear spoiler really finishes off the rear end and the best bit for any lotus owner no nasty osmosis!
The car also has its original PPF installed and im pretty certain most of the stone chips are actually on the ppf rather than the body however I couldn't bring myself to remove it as I liked the originality!
Gearbox and engine is lovely and smooth and with the refurbished suspension and steering it really does drive exactly how a lotus should.
Im happy to put the car on the ramp should any potential viewer like to have a look underneath but its not quite a 5 minute job with an elise please dont be in a rush when your here, although while im doing that it would be a good time to have a look through the paperwork.
