We bought this van with a dream: coming out of the post-COVID period, we wanted to create a mobile hub to bring our local community together over exceptional, artisanal coffee. We fell in love with the classic high-top design and invested heavily into a bespoke fit-out, matching the iconic retro exterior with a premium dual-fuel Fracino commercial coffee setup.
My favourite thing about this classic:
The atmosphere inside the van when the wooden hatch folds open. The craftsmanship of the custom wood panelling combined with the high roof creates an inviting, tactile workspace that feels more like a rustic café than a vehicle.
Why it’s moving on:
Shortly after starting our journey, our family grew with the arrival of our daughter. Balancing family life with the demands of a mobile catering venture meant the business had to be put on pause. It’s been resting on our driveway since, waiting for someone with the vision and mechanical know-how to recommission the mechanicals and bring this iconic French classic back to life.
