The Appeal
The Goldstar is perhaps BSA’s most respected motorcycle and was one of the fastest bikes on the road during the 1950s and early ‘60s. With a colossal single-cylinder engine and rakish styling, the Goldstar was the definitive two-wheeled hero of its era and the steed of choice for many of Britain’s ‘Ton Up Boys’.
We’re delighted to offer this beautifully restored 1962 example which is in fantastic condition. It features clubman bars, a racing gearbox and reinforced clutch so is a fabulous period correct racer for the road. Complete with its original Austrian paperwork as well as later documentation from its life in Italy including ASI certification, this BSA is a storied example that’s sure to interest collectors.

The Condition
- Refinished to an exemplary standard
- Well presented chromework on the fuel tank and mudguards
- All badging, waterslides and pinstripes in very good condition
- The seat upholstery appears in great order
- Barely any wear evident to the grips or foot pegs
- Kilometre Smiths speedometer with adjacent rev counter and ammeter
- All the equipment on the handlebars presents well
- The wheels look great, although the tyres display some slight sidewall cracking
- No damage or corrosion evident to the frame
- All lights in good order

Summary
Presented in fabulous restored condition, with a collection of paperwork and some desirable components fitted, this is amongst the nicest restored Gold Stars we’ve seen.
