Here we have possibly the best Ford Mustang coupe available in the UK. This car was built at the San Jose Factory in California and sold into the Los Angeles District. The Mustang lived in California all its life and wore its black registration plate since new, proving it had never left the state in its life. We decided on its arrival that the paintwork had faded enough to warrant a full bare metal respray. Once the car was back to sheet metal, we were amazed at the body condition, showing no signs of rust whatsoever. Photographs to prove. As you can see it was painted metallic grey with a slightly darker ghost Le Mans stripe. We hope you agree with us, it’s outstanding. We then upgraded the wheels to American Racing Torque thrust wheels with BF Goodridge tyres. All chrome has been polished and new bullet-style wing mirrors added. The interior has just been finished in high-quality leather and we have used Mach 1 seats in the front cockpit. New carpets with soundproofing underneath makes this a very comfortable area to spend some time in. New dash panel, gauges along with headliner and wood-rim Mustang steering wheel have also been added. A modern retro Mustang radio sounds superb with new age speakers. Under the bonnet sits a rebuilt 289 V8 and we have added to colour inside this compartment as can be seen. Power disc front brakes have been added and this Mustang came with power steering as standard as was the c4 automatic transmission.
