She is pretty much perfect in every way and has been my summer pleasure since early last year. Powered by a turbine smooth, 3 litre, six cylinder 24 Valve fuel injected power plant, she is possibly the most useable of the SL range, providing ample power, with reasonable fuel economy. With the fully lined and matching hard-top, she becomes a grand touring coupe for all climates. When removed, the fully automatic soft top creates the ultimate summer cruiser and becomes, I think, the most beautiful convertible Mercedes ever made. A very expensive machine when new, she has every creature comfort available in 1992 and was purported to be one of the safest, over-engineered motor cars in the world.
