Here for sale we have this delightful hard top Series 2a in popular Marine Blue.
On the outside, the vehicle has lots of nice period features, such as the original galvanised cappings, rear mudflaps, vintage numberplates, wing-mounted mirrors and period 600 tyres. Some modern additions have been added, such as the towball and electrics and free wheeling hubs for increased fuel economy and less axle wear. A cat-flap back door is also fitted - these are a 'first generation' split tailgate like a Range Rover - this allows for easy access to the rear and providing a space to sit whilst being covered from the elements - these are an extremely rare and sought after addition for this reason.
The interior is largely standard, with 3 front seats and a heater fitted to the passenger footwell and deluxe matting is fitted to the footwells. In the rear, a set of bench seats have been fitted along with a set of rear windows which give a nice airy feel - the spare is housed in the rear with a dog, as it should be.
Out on the road, this vehicle stops and goes just as she should - the steering is one of the lightest we've ever encountered, almost feeling like power steering, and this shows a well maintained setup!
