Arctic White with Navy Interior and Hood with Hardtop. It would be difficult to find an example with a better pedigree, presented to a higher standard than this car. Been in the hands of the last lady owner for over 15 years, and covered a total of 64k miles. The decision was made in 2017 to have the SL Shop carry out a full inspection and health check. Virtually a blank cheque was issued to have the car restored to full retail showroom standards, having the all important "achilies heel" bulkhead professionally removed and replaced. This involved removal the cars interior to gain full access. The car was then stripped and refinished in original factory code 147 Arctic White, combined with a major mechanical service carried out in addition. No area of the car has been missed, and where necessary mechanical components were either refurbished or replaced. Any affected areas of the underside were de rusted and treated with the correct finish before being coated with Waxoyl for long term future protection. As a final touch, not to fall short on cosmetic appearance, a new soft top was fitted. Total refurbishment cost amounted to £20, 000 with detailed invoicing present for all works carried out. All factory supplied books, tools, spare keys, original stamped service book boasting 17 stamps, 14 of which are MB main dealer, a comprehensive history file and previous MOTs dating back to the first one issued in 1991 are present. The optional rear seat is also fitted. The build quality of the R107 model has always been classed as superior. This facelift example, fitted with the later and more economical 3. 0 straight six engine is classed as the most desirable of the range. These cars have proved a rock solid investment in recent years, and there is no reason to believe that should change. This car is as well prepared for the next 30 years as it ever could be !
